New research published in this month’s Journal of American Dental Association found people with red hair are more likely to have painful experiences at the dentist. Red heads were found to be twice as likely to avoid dental care compared to people with dark hair. Other studies have indicated that redheads may be more sensitive to pain and may need more anesthetics to numb them.

A Detroit-area lawyer, Mark Rossman, is suing Procter & Gamble Co., saying his teeth have brown stains after he used Crest Pro-Health mouthwash.
