Unlicensed dental practice lands Texas man in jail

The Texas State Board of Dental Examiners has stopped Angel Celedron from practicing dentistry with his arrest Wednesday. The 48 year old was charged with practicing dentistry without a license.

According to an arrest warrant, in mid-April the Board of Dental Examiners received a complaint against Celedron. He was allegedly using the alias Able Seledon. The alleged victim says he performed orthodontic work on her from October 2008 through the summer of 2009. …

Texas dentist convicted of Medicaid fraud

David Lloyd Gonzales Jr., D.D.S., 47, was convicted by a Houston jury on 22 counts of healthcare fraud this week. The Pasadena, TX, dentist faces up to 10 years in prison after he was convicted for Medicaid fraud for submitting bogus bills for root canals, fillings, and extractions.

Gonzales began working with Medicaid in 1994, but he was suspended by Medicaid in 2005, according to the statement.
