According to a story in the Guardian one in five Italian dentists does not have proper qualifications to practice dentistry. More than a thousand people were charged in Italy last year with unauthorized exercise of a medical profession (including physicians, dentists, and nurses). Former Michigan inmate, Jerry Flanory, 58, who claims he was denied toothpaste for nearly a year can sue prison officials, citing his constitutional right against cruel and unusual punishment, a federal appeals court said.
