A dispute between feuding Massachusetts dental partners has gotten ugly this week when one dentist reportedly sawed a piece of equipment in half, saying he was entitled to his share.

Police were called to the dentist office Jan. 11, after one partner in the dental practice came in to find half of a cleaning machine, (L&R Ultrasonic Machine Cleaner) in her part of the office. The other half was missing and appeared to have been removed by a saw.

The dentist told police that she and her partner have been in a dispute over their plans to split their practice. She reportedly told police that her partner had demanded a new machine three days earlier, and threatened to cut the practice’s current machine in half if by Monday if he didn’t get it because he was entitled to his half of the property.

After talking with the other partner, police plan to charge him with the malicious destruction of property over $250.

Police have not identified either of the dentists involved in the dispute.
