Georgia man arrested for practicing dentistry without a license

Sandy Springs Police have arrested 34-year-old Omar Ghaoche who had been practicing dentistry without a license out of an apartment he rented.

Ghaoche used the living room as a waiting area and a bedroom was outfitted with a dental chair and X-ray machine. According to police the kitchen was used to attempt to sanitize the dental instruments.

Ghaoche was arrested when an undercover agent went to the apartment pretending to need dental work while two customers were there.

Sandy Springs police said Ghaoche did not live in the apartment and used it only as a dental office.

Ghaouche has been charged with practicing dentistry without a license and the recovery of dental equipment and dangerous narcotic drugs.

Ghaouche has never been licensed in Georgia to practice dentistry, according to the secretary of state’s office.  A court date is pending.

Interesting story. Perhaps it’s a sign of the times that people would try to save money by going to someone’s APARTMENT to have dental work done?!?! Crazy…
