Get your teeth fixed while you wait for your car

One gauge of the economy is the risks people will go to in order to save a little money on dentistry. Based on recent stories the economy has a way to go.

CHICAGO – Francisco Rendon, 49, is facing misdemeanor charges after police discovered his unlicensed dentistry operation in the back of an auto garage. Police say Rendon worked out of a small office wedged between an auto body shop and a scrap metal facility in the Southwest Side of Chicago.

When police responded to the tip, there were five people waiting for Rendon’s services. Police said Rendon worked on teeth using a combination of dental tools and power tools used on cars.

Rendon admitted to doing dentistry work on patients and told police he was a licensed dentist in Mexico. He was also issued a citation for not having a business license according to police.

Rendon is slated to appear in court June 2.

Thanks for sharing this weird news. I haven’t read anything like it, I must say. I hope the “patients” he had are all doing fine.
