South Florida man practiced dentistry without a license
Miami-Dade police arrested, Eduardo Manuel Yglesias, 57, for practicing dentistry without a license. Acting on a tip, police began to investigate Yglesias and discovered he was only licensed as a dental radiographer, not as a dentist.
In an undercover operation, a detective made an appointment to see Yglesias at Dental Services Plus, which is a legitimate dental clinic, according to police. The “doctor” made an examination, viewed x-rays and determined the detective needed a root canal, which would cost $180. Yglesias was preparing to begin the dental work, when police intervened to arrest him. Detectives later learned Yglesias had been practicing dentistry since last September.
